| Primary Research (for Beeson Program): Restoration Of Senescent Cardiac Angiogenic Activity
|
Jay M. Edelberg, M.D., Ph.D., is Group Director of Clinical Biomarkers within Bristol-Myers Squibb. Dr. Edelberg’s clincal research focused on the molecular and cellular basis of the depressed senescent cardiac angiogenic activity. Specifically, he is studying the role of systemically-derived endothelial cells in the restoration of blood vessel growth in the aging heart. This work will provide insight into the potential of novel cell-based therapies may be developed for the treatment of cardiovascular disease in older individuals.
