| Wendy S. Post, MD, MS Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology Cardiology Division Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Wendy S. Post, MD, MS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She also has a joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. After earning her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, Dr. Post completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. Upon completion of a research fellowship in cardiovascular epidemiology at the Framingham Heart Study in Framingham, Massachusetts, Dr. Post earned a master’s in epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health and completed a cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her current research interests focus on the vascular effects of aging, hypertensive heart disease, noninvasive imaging of subclinical cardiovascular disease, genetic epidemiology, successful aging, and the prevention of sudden cardiac death. In addition to recently receiving a Paul Beeson Physician Faculty Scholars in Aging Research Award to study vascular phenotypic and genetic predictors of longevity in the Amish, Dr. Post is also a Reynolds Foundation Research Associate, as part of the team of investigators studying sudden cardiac death at Johns Hopkins. See is a co-investigator for the NHLBI sponsored Multiethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA). Dr. Post’s clinical practice at Hopkins is in preventive cardiology and echocardiography. | |
