About the Program

The Paul Beeson Physician Faculty Scholars in Aging Research Program:

• Provides $450,000 over a three year period to individual physician-scientists to draw outstanding physician-scientists into teaching and research in the field of aging.

• Promotes increased training in geriatrics for the physicians who will care for a growing population of people over the age of 65 that is projected to exceed 70 million by the year 2030.

• Creates vital networks in the field of aging to enhance career development.
